Whether your project is big or small we'll assist you through the entire process. We will work with you to help you understand what is allowed versus what will or will not pass due to code.

Permit Expediter
Facilitate permit requests by navigating the processes required by DC, MD or VA regulatory offices. The permit and planning department can be frustrating, time-consuming and an expensive undertaking. We work to make the process of applying for a permit less confusing and simple. Although we are unable to physically speed up the process, we will make the process work as efficiently as possible.
Certificate of Occupancy/ Use and Occupancy
We will apply for the Certificate of Occupancy on your behalf. The purpose of the Certificate of Occupancy is to ensure that the use of the building, meets zoning regulations. In most cases buildings, structures or land for any purpose other than a single family dwelling will need a valid Certificate of Occupancy to be legally used.
Business License
We will apply for a Business License on your behalf. Business licenses are permits issued by government agencies that allow individuals or companies to conduct business within the government's geographical jurisdiction. It is the authorization to start a business issued by the local government.
Inspection Coordinating and Approvals
After completing your requested scope of work we will schedule a D.C., licensed inspector to visit the site and coordinate a time that works best for you.
Representation before the Board of Zoning Adjustment
In many cases you will need an attorney or an architect to represent you before the Board of Zoning and Adjustment (BZA). In other cases specifically referring to granting a special exception or area variance a third party can provide representation. We have worked with long standing clients to complete and submit BZA applications as well as present before the board and other necessary committees.
Engineering Approvals
We are happy to work with our clients in reviewing plans with our architect partners, leading to stamped approvals.
